In 1976, Atlanta City Church (formerly Atlanta Christian Center) began as an outreach from Abbott Loop Christian Center in Anchorage, Alaska.  The church first met in a small building located just south of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in College Park, Georgia.  In 1978, young Pastors Rick and Susie Snow were called by God to assume the leadership of this small congregation.

The congregation of ACC quickly outgrew the church building in College Park.  In 1983, ACC bought their current property in Fairburn, Georgia, and have continued to expand.

On Father's Day of 1998, ACC moved into its newest sanctuary and learning center, now known as the North Campus.  This beautiful new building was dedicated on January 6-10, 1999, with a week of celebrating God's blessings.

On Christmas Eve of 2006, ACC became one church in two locations with the opening of the South Campus in Peachtree City, Georgia.
